Venue Rentals

Lake Lanier Olympic Park is a unique venue for your special event. The park has hosted regattas, festivals, concerts, weddings, employee gatherings, and more over the years.

There are three types of rentals: Plaza Rental, Tower Rental, and Full/Partial Venue Rental

Read more about each of these options below!

Plaza Rental

The 2003 World Championship plaza can be rented on a daily basis, depending on your event’s needs. This features a very large concrete plaza at the top with stadium seats that can hold 2,000 people, a concrete “podium” plaza on the shore of Lake Lanier, and the recently completed Northeast Georgia Health Center Pavilion that provides shade and seating for 115 people. Ample parking is available and utilities are provided at no additional cost!

Lake Lanier Olympic Park Tower

Tower Rental

The 1996 Olympic Tower features the Centennial Olympic VIP room where you have the most unique and beautiful views of Lake Lanier. Half of the room consists of floor-to-ceiling windows offering a spectacular and inspiring view of Gainesville and Hall County’s greatest asset, Lake Lanier. This room features tables and chairs that can be arranged in board meeting, classroom, or theater styles. A large television for presentations and Wi-Fi are also available. Room comfortably seats up to 25 people.

Olympic Park Facility

Full/Partial Venue Rental

Lake Lanier Olympic Park spans both sides of Clarks Bridge Road. In addition to the Plaza, Tower, Boat Launch and Courtesy Docks on one side of the road, the other side offers additional event parking with an underground tunnel connecting the entire campus.

Considerations for permitting rentals of any kind (including but not limited to):

  • Date/Time availability
  • Number of proposed attendees
  • Impact to the park and the resident Kayak and Rowing Club operations
  • Approval by Gainesville Police Department Special Events Team (public events only)
  • Ability to obtain required permits from other entities (City, Corps of Engineers, etc.)
  • Current City and public health guidelines related to large gatherings
  • Noise potential and impact on surrounding residential areas
