Celebrate the final week of National Hispanic Heritage Month by exploring the shared harvest traditions of Appalachian and Hispanic cultures. Students rotate through hands‑on academic and artistic stations that highlight storytelling, nature, and symbolism across both communities.
Dive into the monumental 1733 landing at Yamacraw Bluff with an immersive, multi‑sensory program at the History Center. Students explore how Oglethorpe, Tomochichi, and Mary Musgrove forged a powerful alliance that shaped Georgia’s colonial beginnings, rotating through hands‑on stations focused on teamwork, survival, and intercultural diplomacy.
