Enhance your life science, botanical, and environmental studies curriculum with a field trip to the Atlanta Botanical Garden, Gainesville. Designed for ages 7–14, students explore diverse woodland habitats, observe plant adaptations, discover seasonal changes, and engage with grade-specific educational materials supported by knowledgeable volunteers throughout the Garden.

Experience Gainesville Glows as it returns for its second year, transforming the woodland into a sparkling winter wonderland. Enjoy lantern displays, colorful Sasha Trees, interactive candy canes, a model train, and family-friendly photo ops on select nights from November 19 to January 3. Special décor, s’mores pits, and lighted installations create a magical holiday experience for all ages.

Join our beginner-friendly Bonsai Workshop led by Zach Adamz of Komorebi Bonsai. Learn pruning, wiring, and bonsai styling techniques, enjoy an interactive demo and Q+A, and receive your own tree to begin bonsai. August 22, 10 a.m.–12 p.m. Ages 18+. Register by August 15.

Celebrate Halloween at our Boo-tanical Seed Exchange! Join a family-friendly seed swap, collect heirloom garden seeds, meet local vendors, and create a spooky string‑of‑pearls succulent cauldron. Free with Garden admission. Oct 31, 2–4 p.m. Registration deadline: Oct 17.
