Noah’s Ark in Gainesville?!

When thinking of a fun, family afternoon outing, Memorial Park Cemetery might not spring to mind, however, you’ll want to put this one on your list of places to visit in Gainesville, Georgia.

Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by two very friendly ducks who will most likely guide you around a huge bronze collection of animals known as the Noah’s Ark at Memorial Park. With hundreds of life size bronze creatures, you’ll spy everything from gorillas to giraffes and all in between. There is something for the entire family to enjoy and plenty of opportunities for some excellent selfies!

Other points of interest include statuaries along the lake which includes an “ark” and fountain and if you wander just a bit further down the path, there is a large grassy area filled with statues of all the presidents and even a scaled down version of the Statue of Liberty.

The late Jack Frost, owner and operator of Memorial Park Funeral Homes and Cemeteries, passed away in 2021 but his love for statues and gardens can be sensed at Memorial Park in Gainesville, Georgia. His love for our community and his generosity can be seen throughout the community and Noah’s Ark is a special hidden gem!
