Join us November 22, 2025 at Jingle Mingle and the Lighting of the Chicken on the Downtown Gainesville Square!

As one of the Southeast’s quirkiest, fun, family-friendly events, Jingle Mingle is the perfect way to start your holiday season here in the Poultry Capital of the World!

TENTATIVE 2025 Event Timeline:

  • 5am: Parking Closes on Main Street on the Square, as well as Brenau Ave, Green Street, and portions of Spring Street (off the square, for Carriage Rides and Train Ride areas).
  • 12pm: Parking Closes throughout the entire event area.
  • 1pm: Road Closure on Main Street
  • 2pm: All Roads Close for Event, Entertainment Set Up Begins
  • 4pm: Event Begins!

4pm – 6:30pm: Family Fun Activities and Open Houses

  • Kiddy Train Rides!
  • Carriage Rides!
  • Coca Cola Bear!
  • Open Houses in Historic Buildings, with sales, live music, and refreshments!
  • Visitor’s Center Festival of Trees!
  • S’more Stations with Gainesville Fire Department!
  • Inflatable slide!
  • Jingle Mingle Merchandise, plus Gainesville holiday gift bundles for sale!
  • Storytime with Hall County Library!
  • Roosevelt Square Local Stage:
    • Featuring JB Jams as DJ from 4-8pm!
    • 4:15pm: Balthazar Gradin
    • 4:45pm: Brenau Dance
    • 5:30pm: Young Singers of Northeast Ga
    • 6:00pm: Elevate Performing Arts

5pm: Santa Arrives on a Fire Truck. (Santa gets on truck on Maple/Spring St, rides up spring street, turns left on Bradford Street, left on Washington, exits, and the fire truck goes down Washington St to exit the event.)

5-8pm: Photos with Santa on the Square

6:45pm: Lighting of the Chicken Ceremony Begins!

7pm: The Chicken is Lit!

7- 8pm: Open Houses continue with photo opportunities downtown.

All Parking Decks are FREE in Gainesville!
