Gainesville City Schools facilities, fields, venues and athletes are top caliber. Thirty-one State Championships have been won in baseball, boy’s and girl’s basketball, football, boys’ and girls’ golf, boy’s soccer, girl’s tennis and track.* Gainesville High School (GHS) offers state-of-the-art athletic facilities and fields. University of North Georgia – Hugh Mills P.E. Complex

The University of North Georgia Recreational Sports Department on the Gainesville campus is located in the Hugh Mills Physical Education Complex. Recreational sports on the Gainesville campus offer a variety of intramural sports, aquatics and fitness programs to help you “Get your move on!”
