Homeschool Day: Appalachian Heritage – NEGA History Center

Join us at the Northeast Georgia History Center during our last Homeschool Day of the season!
Regular admission for non-Members, free for Members.
This program will be indoors.
Some of the activities include:
Enjoy Appalachian storytelling at 11:30 AM, discover 1800s daily life, from cooking to cleaning, join or listen to a live folk music jam session, learn about regional herbs and traditional foods, try your luck in an Appalachian scavenger hunt, watch clogging—and give it a try yourself, explore artifacts with our on-site archivist, hear stories of past cabin owners (White Path, the Pinsons, and the Cooleys), make your own corn husk doll to take home, see historic clothing-making with the Fiber Arts Guild, watch pottery demos or make your own ($5 ticket) and much more!
