Heritage Arts Day: Sheep to Shawl – NEGA History Center

The History Center will be open on Sunday, March 22nd, 2026 from 1pm to 4pm for Heritage Arts Day: Sheep to Shawl!
This is a collaboration with the Georgia Mountain Fiber Arts Guild.
No Pre-Registration Required: General Admission – $8 Adults, $7 Seniors/Military, $6 Students, and Free for our Members.
There will be a wooly friend (sheep) for visitors to meet and learn about the shearing process, as well as drop spindles, frame looms, and a carding station with wool available for guests to try. The Guild Members will have their spinning wheels to demonstrate yarn-making, and will be happy to answer questions about their craft.
And of course, the History Center will be fully open for visitors to tour during the event hours.
