Homeschool Days: The Gilded Age – NEGA History Center

Step back in time to the era of innovation and social change with our Homeschool Day: The Gilded Age, on Wednesday, January 24th, from 10 AM to 1 PM at the Northeast Georgia History Center.
Meet historic characters like Susan B. Anthony, learn about the fashions and customs of the era, explore inventions of the world’s fair, and take part in hands-on activities.
Scheduled Programs:
10 AM – Meet Susan B. Anthony portrayed by professional living history interpreter Cathy Kaemmerlen of Tattling Tales Productions Inc.
12 PM – Fashion and Dances of the Gilded Age presented by Kat Nagar of Atlanta Historic Dance
Ongoing Activities:
The World’s Fair Exhibit Hall – Wander through our inventions hall to learn about groundbreaking inventions of the era from everyday appliances to marvels of technology.
Souvenir Silhouette Portrait Station – Have a silhouette portrait taken and printed as a souvenir! Must purchase $5 Portrait ticket. One ticket per individual portrait.
