DESCRIPTION:Welcome local homeschool families! We invite you to join us for an afternoon of adventure and learning! \nYour students will learn how to navigate and identify like some of Georgia’s earliest explorers. \nTheme: Early Explorers \nActivities to include: \n\nIdentification: scat\, photos\, guidebooks. etc. with “scavenger hunt”\nWay finding: Guided at 1:15 and 2:15- how to use map\, compass\, etc.\nHike using way finding skills and maps of campus and trail connections\nMap making: create a map with key components (compass rose\, scale\, legend\, north arrow\, etc.)\n\n\nRecommended ages: Kindergarten through 6th grade\n\n\nTime: 1:00-3:00 with guided activities at 1:15 and 2:15\n\n\nAdmission: $10/child\, $50/family (5+)\, members free\n\n\nPreregistration encouraged\, walk-ins welcome based on availability\n\n\nThis program will take place rain or shine.
