SUMMARY:Beginning Racing League (BRL) - Lanier Canoe & Kayak Club
DESCRIPTION:Beginner Racing League racing is an 8-week program for ages 7 -17. Held in the Spring and the Fall of each year\, participants learn paddle basics\, good sportsmanship\, and teamwork. The grand finale is the “ Braff Fungatta” where the BRL teams race against each other on the 1996 Olympic course for individual medals and team bragging rights. \nTeams practice twice a week for 2 hours\, and you can pick a team that works with your schedule. Yes\, this event uses the small dragon boats which are a perfect way to get part of your full festival squad improving through practices\nAll teams will have three\, 200 meters races (2 heats and a final).
