The Big Cat: The Life of Johnny Mize – NEGA History Center

Join us on Tuesday, May 13th at 7:00 PM for The Big Cat: The Life of Johnny Mize, an inspiring story of the legendary baseball hall of famer. Johnny Mize was born and raised in Habersham County, hamlet of Demorest, Georgia. A local schoolboy and athletic legend, he began a professional career in sports at the age of 17.
Jerry Grillo, author of The Life of Baseball Hall of Famer Johnny Mize, will share how Mize’s career began in Latin America, then to the minor leagues, before beginning his 15-year big league career with the Cardinals, the New York Giants, and the New York Yankees.
