Professional Secrets to Landscape Painting Workshop – Quinlan Visual Arts Center
March 28 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

When you paint a landscape, you realize that you can’t simply paint what you see. The abundance of leaves, blades of grass, and other details can be overwhelming.
In this workshop, you’ll discover techniques to capture the essence of leaves and grass, as well as barnboard, bark, and dirt, without needing to paint each detail with a brush.
Participants will experiment with a variety of unconventional tools, such as cardboard, credit cards, putty knives, drywall implements, rags, paper towels, toilet paper, steel wool, hake brushes, painting knives, and “paint movers” to bring their vision to life.
